Today Venus, the planet of relating, finance, and the creative arts moves into Libra, the sign she rules and loves. She will remain in her home sign until November 7.
Coincidently, I am celebrating our 26th anniversary with my dear partner today. So instead of a long post, I thought I’d leave you with some beautiful images to enjoy.
Venus has two natures: one is earthy and sensual; the other is intellectual and artistic. When Venus is in Libra her intellectual nature comes to the foreground and it’s a great time to enter into partnerships with others based on shared values and goals. She brings rationality and a sense of fairness to all negotiations and fresh ideas for marketing and design. Public relations are also favored under this influence. Creativity is heightened and artistic endeavors are inspired.
I associate Venus in Libra with the Hindu Goddess Saraswati. Saraswati represents intelligence, education, music, and the arts. She is associated with creativity, especially in the context of communications, such as in literary and verbal skills. The word Saraswati means “the one who flows”, which is applied to thoughts and words. I’ve included some images of her today.

Venus/Saraswati came to my studio yesterday and helped me fix a “mistake” I had made on Tuesday. She’s very nice.

I had a Venus blessing yesterday too. My dog, Buddy, was outside and I heard him get hit by a car. As I was running downstairs I was thinking, how can this be, how can this be, with Venus’ protection today? We were sure he had broken his leg as he couldn’t stand on it. By the time we got to the vet, about 10 minutes later, he was standing and walking, with a limp, but fine. He’s sore and has a few cuts, but the timing was such that he was totally protected from anything serious. A Venus blessing for sure.
