Good Day!

As the Moon transitions into Virgo today, it’s time to put on some sensible clothes and get to work.  While Venus in Leo will still incite our creativity and desire to display our talents for all to see, the Virgo Moon brings us back down to earth.  It’s like the schoolmarm standing over us saying, if you want the rewards, you have to do the work.

It takes me back to a memory from fifth grade.  Our class held a talent show and I was all about singing and dancing those days.  I thought, a perfect stage, my chance to be a star!  I didn’t think I needed to rehearse, I didn’t memorize the words to the song.  I just worked on my costume and assumed my natural gifts would wow everyone.

You guessed it:  when it was my turn I totally forgot the words. (It was “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”.)  I turned shy and stumbly and the nun said something like, everyone should make sure they are prepared before they stand up in front of the class.  I’ll bet the Moon was in Leo when I felt so confident that my innate talents would take the prize and it transitioned into Virgo on the day of the show!

Today’s Virgo Moon forms disconcerting aspects to Uranus and Jupiter in Aries and Venus in Leo.  If you made missteps during the last few days, or if you promised more than you could deliver with all that fire in the heavens, then these next few days are about cleaning up your mistakes.  No regrets; just the hard work it takes sometimes to rein in and manage what you set in motion.

If you were perfectly on your game, these next few days are about documenting what went well and taking the next practical steps to implementation.  With the Virgo Moon you’ll feel more inclined to buckle down and work and get back to the routines that keep your business life in order.  A few days on back-office systems, especially a new method for categorization or analysis, takes advantage of this Virgo Moon in its waxing phase.

The Moon also channels the energy of Mars in Virgo and the long-term common sense of Pluto in Capricorn today, so you may be surprised at how much you can get done.  But be sure to slip in some kind of venue for Venus in Leo.  She’s still on the scene today and if it gets too stuffy you’ll put her fire out.  And we don’t want that – there’s still a lot of fun to be had after the work is done.  What else did the nuns say…something about “All Work and no Play makes Jane a very dull Girl?”

A contest for today:  Are the words “venue” and “Venus” connected?  The first person to leave the right answer in the comments will win a free Solar Fire report with their personal transits and progressions for the next three months.
