Hello, everyone.

As I’ve been tracking the weekly cycles of the stars for about the last year I’ve noticed an interesting and benevolent aspect to the cycles of the heavens, and therefore to the cycles of our lives.  Whenever there is a particularly intense period, like last week with the Solstice, Full Moon conjunct Pluto, and the Eclipse, there follows a very light week, one with few challenges and a more gentle energy to deal with.  It’s like nature gives us periods of intense work and breakthroughs, followed by periods of rest and assimilation.

This week is one of those for rest and assimilation.  Was that a sigh of relief I just heard?

On Monday, Mercury joins the Sun in Cancer.  This is a time when our intentions and our intellect are super-compatible.  Whatever you carry in your thoughts at this time comes easily into manifestation, so be sure you keep your thoughts positive!

Communications of all kinds are favored this week, especially those that spell out for others the feelings and intuition that underlie your actions.  Everyone is particularly sensitive emotionally, so be sure to keep your conversations honest.  People will see through any false proclamations easily.

Today is also a turning point in the whole Mercury/Mercury Retrograde cycle.  Mercury is still direct, but when it joins the Sun it marks the time when the new ideas you’ve been working with since the beginning of May have come to some level of maturity.  You may notice that you are giving more thought to negotiation and presentation – there’s not the same “sky’s the limit” enthusiasm of the last few weeks.  You’ve presented your ideas, gotten feedback, and recognized the kinks.  Beta testing is over.  Now is the time to develop a more mature and practical marketing and implementation plan.

Today our friend Mercury in Cancer meets with Mars in Virgo, a perfect continuation of Monday’s energies.  Mars in Virgo represents our ability to take ideas into the physical world, to actually build that prototype or print that proposal you’ve been working on.  It also gives you a discriminating eye to flaws and imperfections that need to be addressed before you present your final pitch to others.  There’s lots of energy for nuts and bolts work and delivery systems – and rapid progress will make your efforts satisfying.

That’s it for the week!  Rest, rejuvenate, recuperate – we’ve still got a big summer (astrologically speaking) ahead.
