This week is a week of respite from the conflicts and turmoil of this summer of transformation.  Oh, the turmoil will continue on the world stage but our business lives will be relatively removed from the fray, except for…

Monday

Monday is the only day this week that may host the kind of ups and downs we’ve been experiencing lately.  Generally the day of the New Moon should be a quiet day so we can hear the stirrings of the new idea or project that we will engage in throughout the coming month.  But today’s New Moon is accompanied by Venus stepping up to confront the issues represented by the current Jupiter/Pluto square.

Don’t underestimate the power of Venus in Libra.  It may seem like people are more accommodating than usual, and they will be, but that doesn’t mean they will stand for aggression or power plays from others.  If anyone is acting out around your business, someone’s going to challenge it today.

And there’s no smoothing things over; what must come out will come out and actually, with Venus on hand, this is a better day than most to address seething tensions or jealousy between team members.  Get the issues on the table and let everyone devise a better way to work together.  It may be grueling to try to reach harmony today, but it will go a long way toward molding your staff back into one cooperative unit.  And this will pay dividends over the month ahead.

Friday

On Friday, Uranus in retrograde motion slides back into Pisces where it will stay until next March.  Uranus was in Pisces for most of the last seven years, since March 2003, with just a brief stay in Aries, so this is familiar territory.  But it may feel bizarre to be stepping back in time.  From our new entrepreneurial spirit we again enter the realm of collective ideas.  From our recent forays into a new style of leadership, we fall back into flattened hierarchies and committee decision-making.  From enhanced independence we’re back to collaboration and alliances.  Even our latest ideas to break into new territory or develop new products may take a back seat to redevelopment or reinvigoration of projects from the past.  Turn your sights back; there’s still some juice in an older idea.
