Astro4Business Weekly Highlights – Alliance Adjustment

Hello, everyone.

This week is not as heavy as the last couple weeks, although it has enough sparks to keep us on our toes.  We have a Full Moon and just two other major aspects, but one of them is MAJOR.

Full Moon in Capricorn

This week we go up and over the top with the Full Moon early Friday morning (MDT).  Spend the first few days of the week adjusting and refining your current projects through input from others:  cast a wide net and let people’s opinions inform your final touches.  Then you’ll be fully ready to display the best of your work.  With the Full Moon in Capricorn, bring your project home with a proficient presentation.  Display your mastery and let others know you’re serious about the outcome.  Systems, structure, and your own sense of authority will impress people this week.

Mercury sextile Mars

Two other aspects highlight the week.  On Monday, Mercury in Leo sextiles Mars in Gemini.  The Mercury in us is always thinking, communicating, analyzing, and problem solving.  The Mars energy is always asserting, initiating, and competing.  When these two get together, and when they get along as they do with the sextile aspect, it spells rapid progress.  Ideas will start to take on a life of their own, and if they do, you should go with it.  You’ll be able to synthesize data from different sources and know just how to put the information to good use.

A comment on Mercury in Leo:  If your sales team gets a little flamboyant, let them.  Just remind them that the customer is the star.

Venus square Saturn

The other important aspect this week is Venus in Cancer squaring Saturn in Libra.  Usually squares can be quite challenging; they depict energy moving in two different directions, producing conflicts or “horns of dilemmas.”  The Encarta Dictionary defines a dilemma in this way:  a situation in which somebody must choose one of two or more unsatisfactory alternatives. That’s a pretty good description of the square aspect.  In this case, there is the possibility of ultimate resolution as Saturn is in the sign ruled by Venus.  With some hard work, there could be a compromise.

Actually, we’ve been dancing to this music for the last year.  Venus last conjoined Saturn in Libra last August, and throughout the year we’ve been meeting challenge after challenge and opportunity after opportunity to find the point of harmony between these two.  Venus represents the part of us that wants to secure material stability and establish harmonious relationships, cooperation, and collaboration.  Saturn wants to achieve, succeed, control, and master.  With Saturn in Libra, we strive for success through alliances, mediation, diplomacy, and public relations.  All year we’ve been perfecting the art of collaboration and partnership.

This week could bring our interpersonal and professional relationships to some kind of crisis point.  There could be an ideological parting of the ways.  You may have to let something go.  If so, try to do it diplomatically and kindly, and bring as much nurturing and protection that you can into the matter.  That could ease an otherwise difficult transition.  But keep in mind the prospect for harmony; with a possibly painful concession, you could still find reconciliation.

That’s all for the week.  Have a good one.

Astro4Business Weekly Highlights – Total Lunar Eclipse

Hello everyone.

This week features a waxing Moon culminating in the Total Lunar Eclipse on Wednesday, followed by several important Mercury transits.  This is not likely to be a week you’ll forget!  Let’s take a closer look.

(Note:  I usually write this column on the weekend before the week and then promptly forget the day-by-day transits.  During the week, when something unusual or of special interest comes up, I come back and read what I wrote for that specific day.  Usually I can connect the situation to the daily transits but even if I cannot, reading about them again takes my thinking to a deeper level.  I encourage you to revisit these pages as the week unfolds, too.)

Wednesday

Photo of the last Lunar_Eclipse, by Jiyang Chen (Source:Wikipedia)

This month’s full Moon is on Wednesday and it is a Total Lunar Eclipse.  From Wikipedia:

“A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the earth so that the earth blocks the sun’s rays from striking the moon. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, there is always a full moon the night of a lunar eclipse.”

So this week we have this line-up of the Moon, Earth, and Sun, with the Earth’s shadow falling on the Moon, causing it to dim in the sky.  In certain societies, this blocking of the Moon on what is usually her brightest night of the month is seen as a harbinger of bad news.  And there are those who recommend that we take it easy on the day of the eclipse, avoiding all unnecessary work and travel.

I have the feeling that this eclipse will be relatively mild, even though it is total.  Bridging the mutable signs Gemini and Sagittarius, we may be able to spend the day in a philosophical frame of mind.  Any activities that combine Gemini’s love of words and communications with Sagittarius’ love of vision and justice will work out well today.  Our task is to bring balance to the day and let the problems resolve themselves.

Thursday

On Thursday, Mercury enters Cancer and then forms an extremely harmonious aspect with Neptune.  Mercury in Cancer moves our minds from the facts and data gathering common with Gemini to tuning into and dealing with our customers’ and employees’ needs and motivations.  You may have to meet one-on-one with people and reassure them; you may have to spend more time discussing personal and family matters.  If you focus on loyalty and emotional bonding, you will win others’ allegiance and support.

With Neptune on the field today, you may feel inspired by all your interactions, but steer away from decisions for today.  Your insights are valid but you could mislead yourself about the scale of their application.  Just take in the information now; decide what it means later.

Friday

Friday is an excellent day for big ideas and fruitful interactions with authority figures.  Mercury in harmony with Jupiter helps you take in the big picture and you will like what you see.  The future looks bright and you will understand how you can take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves.

With Venus in harmony with Saturn you will have the practical realism to turn your ideas into working plans, with a little help from others.  Loyalty, duty, economy:  these keywords will lead to good judgment and sound agreements.  You’ll understand the value of alliances today, both existing ones and those on the horizon.

Saturday

Saturday continues the Mercury emphasis of the week and today could be a challenging day as Mercury in Cancer forms an aspect with Uranus in Aries.  Mercury with Uranus usually brings clarity and insight, but Cancer and Aries are about as incompatible as two signs can be.  Our thought processes are emotional and reactive due to Mercury’s placement in Cancer and Uranus is impatient with delays and “feelings.”

You may have to change gears for a while and accept the more intuitive and less rational.  Don’t expect the usual incisive thinking processes from yourself or those around you.  If you feel yourself pulled in two seemingly incompatible directions, just wait for the moment to pass.  Soon a clearer perspective will return.

Sunday

Another Mercury aspect rounds out the week on Sunday!  With Mercury in Cancer, people want to unburden themselves and it’s important to take the time to listen. With Pluto in Capricorn, you may find out something that has been hiding in the dark.  Whatever it is, it’s important that you actively confront the issue and resolve it.  It may require bringing others in to help, but try not to carry it into next week.  Deal with it and move on.

Have a wonderful week and let me know how it goes.  And remember to check back here for daily guidance when you need it.

Astro4Business Weekly Highlights – Busy!

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Hello everyone.

This week is very busy, with the Full Moon early in the week and the end of the week packed with aspects between Mercury, Mars, Venus and powerhouse Pluto.  Add to this next Sunday’s sparring between the Sun, newly in Gemini, and Neptune in Pisces and we’ve got a week of healthy challenges with the ability to meet them head-on.

Full Moon

We’ll ramp up to the Full Moon all day on Monday as it reaches culmination early on Tuesday (MDT).  The Full Moon this month is an opposition between the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio.  Both Scorpio and Taurus are related to money.  Taurus rules our own finances and Scorpio rules outside resources like lenders, investors, and insurers.   This Full Moon asks you to look at the extent of your reliance on these outside resources and whether they are helping or hindering your own financial stability.  What is the ratio of your debt to your assets?  How is your credit rating?  How much of your monthly budget is spent on interest payments?  If these issues are perfectly in balance, fine.  If they are weighted too strongly in one direction or the other, this Moon will bring awareness and the will to do something about it.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto

Let me start by saying that Mercury, Venus, and Mars form an excellent aspect to Pluto this week, one which brings opportunity and an increase in our personal power and influence.  Sometimes people hear Pluto will be active and they immediately think of death, destruction, and upheaval.  Pluto can be these things but also healing, transformation, and rebirth.  Whether the former or the latter, it all works to our advantage this week.

"All for one; one for all." By Maurice Leloir, engraved on wood by Jules Huyot. (Source:Wikipedia)

We spoke last week about Mercury and Venus traveling together in the sky and this week they catch up with Mars – like the three Musketeers, “all for one, one for all.”  In last week’s post I spoke about Mercury and Venus together:

…This is like a device that works well and is beautiful to look at. Or when your best systems manager is also great with people.  When your smartest analyst can create a presentation that really pops or when your marketing director never overpromises because she understands what it takes to deliver.

Add Mars in Taurus to this mix and we get all the above plus the energy to actually take action and implement.  Mars is impatient with plans and concepts, and even uninterested in beauty and form.  Mars wants to take the field and lead people to accomplishment.  This adds a spark to this week that was missing last week, and a much better chance of actually producing something tangible.

These three are working together all week when they run into the vibe of Pluto.  Pluto is a detective, an undercover sleuth and he will lend these talents to Mercury, Venus, and Mars.  This makes for an excellent week to get to the bottom of something and make changes that are overdue.  Are your people in the right positions?  Is production on schedule?  Are your major projects in alignment with your company’s goals?  Does the current economic and political environment support your vision?

This whole configuration is in earth signs:  it’s time to get practical in the physical world.  We’re talking “atoms rather than bits” as Chris Anderson of WIRED Magazine coined the phrase.  Nail by nail, this week is about dismantling something worn out and recycling the parts into something with new promise.

Sun/Neptune

We’ll be grateful for all this solid earth energy this week because with the Sun squaring Neptune next Sunday, anyone in leadership is likely to get more and more spaced out as the week unfolds.  When the Sun intersects Neptune’s vibe, it’s important that we strive for clarity and not believe everything we hear.  We shouldn’t even necessarily trust our own judgment!

However, if we can turn our attention away from the nuts and bolts of running our businesses, creative waves of vision and inspiration will wash over us next weekend.  Try to delegate day-to-day to your best staff and let yourself become inspired by your muse.

Have a great, busy week!

Astro4Business Weekly Highlights – Impact

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Hello, everyone.

This week opens with a bang on Monday and that impact is carried all the way into the week until the Full Moon next Sunday.

Monday

Monday opens with the 1st quarter Moon which always brings a decision point.  What has been in motion in the past will continue in the same direction unless you step into the driver’s seat.  This point in the lunar cycle has been described as a car going around a curve:  you either take the wheel and negotiate the curve or natural forces will continue their pre-ordained path and you’ll run right off the road.  Usually a choice has to be made, gaining something and leaving something behind.  But the key is to act with courage and with the Moon in Cancer, with the emotional support of those closest to you.

A few hours later Mars challenges Pluto.  In other words, fiery aggressive energy challenges the powers that be in government, society, and the economy.  You may feel ready to take on the world in order to move your business forward.  Alternately, one of your staff leaders may feel you are the inflexible authority who must be challenged.

These energies need a strong hand.  Truly there is the potential to break new ground and to finally overcome what has seemed so intractable.  But there is nothing kind or pussy-footed about this aspect.  Ray Merriman of the excellent Merriman Market Analyst warns, “[This] can be a confrontational dynamic where each side refuses to bend to the point of a functional compromise. One side will have to break, for hard aspects between Mars and Pluto almost never conclude in a win-win result.”

And then later in the day Mercury and Jupiter meet in Aries.  Mercury represents the intellect and Jupiter usually represents wisdom.  But with both of these planets in impulsive, idealistic Aries your intellect may be overcome with grand ideas and following on the heels of the Mars/Pluto influence above, you may become convinced that a big aggressive move is the only true solution.  Whoa there, partner!  Remember that when Mercury is retrograde all is not as it seems.  Take that big idea and file it for the time being.  It will gain a lot more traction if you wait a couple of weeks before you put it in motion.  Over-confidence, idealistic conviction, and impatience will signal an idea whose time has not come.

And the rest of the week

The rest of the week carries Monday’s themes forward with the growing energy between the Sun and Moon, culminating in the Full Moon on Sunday.  There’s dramatic flair midweek and an emphasis on creativity.  Some of your staff will be on mental holiday with Mercury retrograde so you’ll have to take the lead.  Provide yourself with artistic outlets and move through the week with a sense of wonder and play.  This will bring everything to completion right on time.

Have a great week and please share in the comments how you experienced these energies.  I’m really interested in how that Mars/Pluto square impacted your business life this week.

A4B Weekly Forecast – Full Moon and Full Week

Victorian Valentine's Day Card (Source:Wikipedia)

Hello everyone and Happy Valentine’s Day.  I hope your day is filled with sweetness and love.

This is a very interesting week.  We go up, up, up and over with the Full Moon on Friday so this accelerating energy will be with us all week.   The Sun moves from Aquarius into Pisces just after the Full Moon, but first it schedules its annual meeting with Neptune.  Mercury is also busy this week with an early week connection to Saturn, and a late week connection with Mars and Neptune.  And of course, Venus is not to be left behind during Valentine’s Week.

Let’s unpack the week day by day.

Monday

Monday is a highly creative day, yet grounded in realism and practicality.  Mercury in Aquarius forms a very compatible aspect with Saturn in Libra.  Mercury is “exalted” in Aquarius and Saturn is “exalted” in Libra.  This means that these energies are very well-suited to these signs, and on Monday, the aspect makes it all the more so.  This should be an excellent day, one of the best of the year, for meetings and communications that lead to long-term commitment.

You’ve got the gift today, so if you need to appeal to higher authorities, today is the day to do it.  As long as you communicate inventively, you will get all the support you need.  This is a great day for presentations to large groups.   You will be received very well and can begin long term, mutually beneficial relationships.

Don’t overthink it, though.  This aspect builds on decisions you’ve already taken.  The process is already in motion.  You just need to follow the rhythm as the potential unfolds.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we will feel the energy gearing up toward the Full Moon.  These next couple of days is the time to push your project to be ready to present on Friday.  The key will be bringing other people in close.  The Moon in Cancer brings a need for family-type bonding among employees and co-workers.  If you fulfill that need, you will get the support you’re looking for.  With the Sun in Aquarius, you may not be inclined to be all touchy-feely but you should adjust your attitude and do what it takes to bring everyone on board.

One caution though:  don’t get hung up on what isn’t working about your endeavor.  Focus on what is.  This lunar energy needs to be allowed to fulfill itself and it will with the Full Moon on Friday.  So let it flow!

Thursday

On Thursday the Sun meets Neptune in Aquarius for the last time.  By this time next year, Neptune will have moved into Pisces and the Sun and Neptune will meet in that new sign.  Today’s aspect will open up a new possibility, a potential to take advantage of the Neptune energy in Aquarius before it moves into Pisces.

Neptune in Aquarius since 1998 has emphasized the desire to work and live without borders, endeavoring to bring equality to all, sharing responsibility for resources, and distributing technology to the corners of the world.  The free exchange of knowledge through technology has come to almost everyone and brought global changes which were unimaginable before.

Take advantage of today’s Sun/Neptune conjunction by opening yourself to the inspiration that comes from the global community.  This would be an excellent day to have your staff take off from their normal duties and connect with each other, brainstorm, or simply spend the day surfing the net to see what inspires them.  Then gather at the end of the day and share all the best ideas, whatever is really out-of-the-box.  Creative roaming is called for today, and it will inspire your next moves for sure.

Friday

Friday is a powerhouse with the Full Moon in Leo, Venus and Saturn sparring, and the Sun entering the sign of Pisces.

The Full Moon is an opposition of the Sun and Moon in the sky and it can play out in two ways.  Opposition, of course, is always a possibility with the Full Moon as tensions run high and competing factions deadlock.  Or the energy can yield into balance and compromise, with both groups supporting each other to a better outcome for each.  It’s up to you, the leader, to manage this creative conflict.

With the Moon in dramatic Leo, you might want to make it fun.  Stage some kind of competition or event where your employees can showcase their best ideas.  Award points for artistic presentations.  And with the Sun in Aquarius, make sure people present in teams, with everyone getting a chance to shine.  See if the whole group can find the balance point as to which ideas get the green light.

A few hours later, you’ll bring it down to earth with the Venus/Saturn square.  Venus in Capricorn makes us fully aware of financial constraints and we will want to add practicality to creativity.  Even though the square aspect can be stressful as you choose between alternatives, in this case Venus is in Saturn’s sign, Capricorn, and Saturn is in Venus’ sign, Libra.  These two know and understand each other.  They both want discipline and reliability in business alliances.  They both favor long-term contracts over short-term.  They both want it in writing.  They both want the practical details spelled out and joint interests protected.  They both prefer austere, formal, no-nonsense interactions.  They’re both into legalese.  If you can align with this energy today, your decision may not be so stressful after all.

Late in the day the Sun enters the sign Pisces.  This is the time to breathe, to review the week, to take in a movie or toast the week with a glass of good wine.  Lots of progress will have been made this week.  It’s time to acknowledge it and relax.

Sunday

Most of us don’t work on Sunday, but this week it’s an excellent day for leadership, communications, and progress.  If you can schedule a workshop or mini-conference, you’ll be able to take advantage of Mercury, Mars, and Neptune meeting in Aquarius.  This is another powerful combination which brings your intellect, your ability to take action, and inspiration and creativity in alignment.

Look also to your social network and news from near and far to incite an original and unique new idea or product.  The more you interact with others around the globe, the more innovative your own thinking will become.   Your mental activities will be at a peak on this day as well as your willingness to act on inspiration.  Engineering, mechanics, physics, and technology are all favored today.  This week, rest on Saturday and make the most of this unique combination on Sunday.

A great week, a wonderful week, don’t you think?  And all gearing up to the major Jupiter/Pluto configuration next week, so stay tuned.

A4B Weekly Forecast – Full Moon and Farewell to Jupiter in Pisces

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Hello, everyone

This week the Moon gains strength on Monday and Tuesday, reaches Full Moon on Wednesday, and begins to decline by Friday.  Up and over the top, the Moon signals the time to bring your current projects to fruition with an extra push early in the week, and full exposure for the rest of the week.  This is the week to really go for it; to exert all your energy and effort to make it happen.

In the days leading up to the Full Moon, you might consider whether an additional detail or conversation would put the finishing touches on your project and make it ready.  The Moon in Gemini brings a focus on writing, speaking, or studying; all communications have the potential to add the last final ingredient to make your project perfect.

When the Moon reaches Full, it’s time to let your project stand on its own.  With the Cancer Moon you’ll have no doubt as to how it will be received:   everyone’s reactions will be on their sleeve.

Then as the Moon moves through Leo and into Virgo by Friday, you’ll have to strive to share the limelight where it is due and not take criticism or acclaim too personally.  You may have to adjust to input and opinions about your product.  Sometimes even we can’t recognize the flaws in our design until it’s out there for others to see.  This is a beneficial transition; allow your design to change in order to meet your customer’s needs.

Jupiter in Pisces final opportunity

The Sun sextiles Jupiter this week, a last hurrah for these two planets in these two signs.  The Sun exits Capricorn on Thursday and Jupiter exits Pisces on Saturday but before they do you have the opportunity to take the best from the past and institute it into your company policies and values.  No matter how inclined you are to look forward rather than back, open yourself to all you’ve learned about bonding, connection, and crafting a shared vision for the future.

With Jupiter in Pisces you’ve been enjoying the benefits of creating links between people within your organization and also forging links between your company and other organizations.  You’ve been championing the underdog and you’ve stuck by people who just needed some additional mentoring to be successful.

As Jupiter moves into Aries, the tenor will change, both within your company and on the field of competition.  Try to maintain some of the Piscean attitude of service and unity as you begin to step into more aggressive expansion efforts.  Big plans and bold moves will take over soon; use this week to cement the bonds you’ve forged lately to bring the best into the new business environment.

Packing a Punch

The other major influence this week is a Mercury/Pluto conjunction on Monday.  This is an incredible opportunity to forge new plans, even an annual goal, which is undergirded by practical understanding of the global environment in which your business operates.  You can expect deep insights about the coming year and the impact of our continuing economic climate on your business.

This aspect also brings extraordinary power to our thoughts and words, so be careful what you say!  For better or worse, your words can ignite transformation today, so use this energy wisely.  And shield yourself against reckless words from others; everyone’s speech will pack a punch on Monday. (For another take on this powerful aspect, see my discussion in my other blog.)

Let me know how your week unfolds!

Astro4Business Weekly Forecast – October 18 – 24

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Anonymous Flammarion woodcut (1888). (Source:Wikimedia Commons)

Hello, everyone.

After a relatively quiet past week, we now encounter the most active week of the month.  With Moon waxing to Full, it’s time to exert ourselves to push a recent business project to completion.  But we must do this in the midst of Mercury and Mars encountering the outer planets and channeling their energies into our personal and business lives.  The wider world interrupts our personal worlds this week just when we need to show something for our efforts.  (A note:  although I’ve outlined the week in a day-by-day format, most of these influences affect at least two days before the exact contact.)

Monday

On Monday, Mercury in Libra links up with Neptune in Aquarius.  Mercury represents our rational minds and thinking processes and when Mercury is in Libra we are apt to be fair-minded and positive.  However we also tend to vacillate when making decisions because we can see all angles of every issue.  Hooked up with Neptune, this tendency could get worse for a few days.

The best way to work with this aspect is to let yourself be inspired by everyone, but steer away from decisions for a couple of days.  Your insights are valid but you could mislead yourself about the scale of their application.  Just take in the information now; decide what it means later.

Tuesday

More Neptune influence on Tuesday, this time channeled through the Sun in Libra.  This is an intuitive and creative aspect, good for connection, inspiration, and design.  But there is a marked shortage of practicality.  You may imagine a future full of possibilities, but completely miss the fact that hard work and financial resources will be necessary.  Like with the Mercury aspect above, let yourself be influenced by input from afar but remember that anything that seems too good to be true, usually is.

Wednesday

Today is better for practical insight and in-depth analysis as Mercury enters Scorpio.  While Mercury is in Scorpio it’s a good practice to scrutinize all documents carefully and take special pains to speak only the truth, based on facts and data.

Additionally, Mars in Scorpio is linked harmoniously to Jupiter in Pisces today.  This is an excellent day for working constructively to actualize a favorite goal, especially something you were unable to achieve in the past.  Effort and vision combine today with one caveat:  when the opportunity comes, you have to take action and grab it.  It could just as easily slip by if you’re not paying attention.

Friday

Friday is a powerhouse and needs careful handling.  All day we should work on completing a current project and getting it ready for the public.  This is fine; every Full Moon is like this.  And with this Full Moon in Aries we might be inclined to just let the troops proceed on their own, energetically and independently.

But today Mars encounters Neptune.  This combination can lead to indecisiveness, disillusion, confusion, and loss of will power.  However, there is an approach which can yield dynamic results.  Small, incremental goals will motivate people today.  Step by step progress will keep the energy moving.  You could easily overwhelm your team if you try to inspire with the big picture.  Keep the focus narrow and compelling with rewards for each completed step.  By the end of the day, the job will be done.

Saturday

On Saturday, the Sun leaves the sign Libra and enters Scorpio.  Scorpio is a creative and resourceful sign, easily able to address financial or other shortfalls you may be experiencing in your business.  The atmosphere in your business may become more personal and emotional; you may need to deal with issues of trust, loyalty, and betrayal over the next month.  Your leadership role will include making sure problems are put on the table and dealt with fairly and accountably.

Sunday

I know it’s Sunday, but if you are working this can be the most creative day of the week.  Mars in Scorpio meets Uranus in Pisces and this is the recipe for technical creativity, problem-solving, and re-engineering.  Mars represents the people in your business getting the work done and interacting with customers.  If you gather your front line team and your strategists into some kind of meeting or conference, a few hours of collaboration could translate into many months of innovative ideas with workable strategies to achieve them.

I’d say that’s enough for one week, wouldn’t you?  Have a great, dynamic week and let me know how it goes!

A4B Today – September 24, Pitru Paksha

Source:Wikimedia Commons

Good Day!

Today the Moon is still in its full lunar phase in Aries.  Although the exact moment of the Full Moon has passed, the next few days carry the same energy.  It’s time to bring your tasks and projects to completion, and demonstrate their value to others.

This feisty, independent energy of the Moon in Aries has one problem today – Mercury in Virgo.  Mercury represents our rational thinking processes and all communications and meetings.  Mercury in Virgo requires precision and organized plans and presentations.  The Moon in Aries just wants “to be starting something” and cares little about precautions or perfections.

You may have to adjust one or another party’s expectations, or separate the two camps for the day.  The best use of this energy would bring your firm’s excitement and winning attitude into careful communications, with everyone’s best interests in mind.  Seems like a fairly tough assignment to me!

Today begins the 14-day Hindu celebration of Pitru Paksha.  Pitru (forefathers) Paksha (phase of the Moon) is an annual celebration honoring ancestors.  It is said that the ancestors return to earth during this time, and honoring them helps their souls remain content.  It is traditional to give charity at this time as a way to give back to those who gave so much to us.

“Ancestors” in this context has come to mean all those whose blessings have allowed us to live a full and happy life.  This refers to all of our biological ancestors, but also any mentors or guides, school teachers, coaches, spiritual advisors, anyone to whom we owe a debt of gratitude.  For those of us in business, it’s a great time to remember and thank anyone who enabled our success, anyone whose example inspired us, or who gave us an opportunity when we needed it most.  It’s also a great time to reach out to others for wisdom and to share our own with others.

Have a wonderful weekend. May all of your guides and guardians be pleased to continue to support you in the coming year!

A4B Today – September 23, Full Moon in Aries

Good Day!

Today the Moon enters fiery Aries and immediately reaches the Full Moon stage with an opposition to the Sun in Libra.  And oppositional seems to be the keyword for the day, as well as volatile, confrontational, and conflicted.

With the Sun in Libra you may be able to keep an even keel but you’re likely to feel you’re in the middle of a tempest.  Something about the Full moon forces conflicts to rise to the surface and become starkly apparent for all to see.  With the Moon in Aries, the sign of the god of war, there can be a feisty and belligerent tone to the day.  And then the Moon forms difficult aspects with much of the rest of the zodiac which brings challenges in many different guises and forms.

Under all this pressure, our projects and tasks of this lunar cycle roll toward fruition.  But we may have to take a stand and resist people who want to take things too far or in a different direction.  The Aries Moon may incite your customers or staff to demand something new but this lunar phase is about taking something already established over the top, bringing it to perfection, and displaying the fully-baked product for all to see.  See if you can channel the excessive entrepreneurial energy of the day into polishing and presenting.

One thing to watch for today are mistakes.  The Full Moon in Aries can be impulsive and independent and this can lead to damage if you don’t manage it well.  As much as possible foster an environment of teamwork, or at least a buddy system, today.  Make sure each person runs every decision by at least one other person before they take action.  Partnership and cooperation are the foil for the excesses of the Full Moon in Aries.  You’re likely to see less errors if everyone is teamed up with someone.

Even if you’re a one-person shop, run your work by another objective party today before you take it public.  You’re under the same influences – they just all manifest within you.  Find a way to balance independence with collaboration.

On the heels of the equinox yesterday, this is a most powerful Full Moon.  You don’t want to put the brakes on; you just want to maneuver well and carefully through the curve.  Use this energy to show what you and your team of capable of.

Astro4Business Weekly Forecast – September 20 – 26

Hello, everyone.

This week it’s all about the Sun, and since in the astrology of business the Sun represents you, the owner, the leader, the center of the enterprise, this week is all about you in your role as leader.  The Sun makes major connections with three important planets, changes signs, and encounters the Full Moon.  Expect a busy and transformative week.

Tuesday

On Tuesday the Sun comes to the exact opposite point in the zodiac as Jupiter and Uranus.  Remember the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction last Saturday?  If you didn’t get the message then, you will on Tuesday.

Last week Jupiter and Uranus met and concocted something innovative and startling.  Now as the Sun opposes them we become aware of the solution to a challenge we regarded as an irreconcilable dilemma concerning our business future.  It may startle us to see how easily two (or more) conflicting matters can be integrated under this influence.

The inertia of the last couple of months may not vanish immediately; Jupiter and Uranus are still in retrograde motion.  But we will probably experience a growing sense that the future is becoming clearer and we won’t feel quite so uncertain about possibilities for growth and innovation.  Sounds good, right?

Wednesday

On Wednesday the Sun reaches the equinox point, the point in the year when the length of the day and night is exactly equal.  This is the beginning of the sign Libra and the moment of perfect balance which immediately gives way to excess in one direction or another. Depending on your location, either the days begin to overcome the night, or here in the North the nights begin to overcome the days.  We’ll explore the sign Libra more in the coming days as well as the goddess that rules Libra, Venus.

Thursday

On Thursday the Moon is full in Aries bringing a project or idea to perfection.  The Full Moon indicates a time of exact balance between opposing forces.  The Sun represents our outer, conscious, future orientation and the Moon represents our historical, instinctive, and emotional perspective.  When these two are in balance at the Full Moon, there is a powerhouse of energy available.  This indicates a great time to present your team’s efforts and fully reveal their talents and skills.  With the Libra Sun and the Aries Moon you’ll be able to exhibit your best without seeming overblown or overdone.  So go for it!

Saturday

On Saturday the Sun in Libra confronts Pluto in Capricorn.  Pluto resumed direct motion last week and matters such as banking, finance, insurance, and corporate business are again at the forefront of the news and our minds.  Everything we’ve suspected over the past nine months about the impact of these structures in our lives becomes apparent with this aspect.  And out of everything that has been revealed it’s time to decide what continues to have value and what needs to be let go.

This new understanding can be difficult because we may realize that certain business partners and associates no longer function in harmony with our goals and there may need to be a parting of the ways.  It may not be personal either; you may become aware of outmoded ways of doing business, defunct tools and equipment, or unnecessary routines.  Whatever has become obsolete will become clear and this aspect brings the focus and energy to change what you must.

The week promises a transformation in our perspective.  Let me know how it goes!
